Who is Paul Holtzheimer?
A native of Northwest Washington; educated in Oklahoma City; studying Music
and Journalism at Oklahoma City University and holds a Master's in Municipal
Government (Political Science) from the University of Central Oklahoma;
Paul was an Information Systems (IS) professional for nearly 30 years and has worked with mainframe computers down to your home PC's in UNIX, MAC, and Windows platforms. His experience in relational database technology helps him stay ahead of the game in computers in Real Estate since his retirement from the IS field in 2005;
He's been involved in land use law; city planning; an accomplished researcher; written extensive Federal Home Loan Bank Board documents; published several GIS-related papers and documents;
Paul started his career as a professional photographer; he was a graphic artist; where he learned how to produce graphic documents of all kinds, from simple printed flyers to full-color booklets; he's a published author and photo journalist; Through his graphic arts experience he's managed two major printing/graphic arts facilities;
He's been the vice-president of Habitat for Humanity in his home community; was an active participant in the "Computers for Kids" project (getting computers in the hands of underprivileged children); In addition, he has been a long time volunteer in the local hospital's emergency room.
Lately, for the past 12+ years, he's been very active in Toastmasters (past president); giving many speeches in the club and at contests; He's helped produce speech contests, mentor and bring in new members;
His first love is Music. Paul is a professional musician. He performs regularly with the Haynie Opry; and in the summer of 2008 he performed live shows with Jack Greene (“There Goes My Everything”) from the Grand Ole Opry; He has performed with several name musicians and played in a 20-peice "Big Band" that toured Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Missouri;
In addition, he enjoys performing feats of "close up magic" where he can make things disappear and reappear before your very eyes! "It's a great ice-breaker" he says.
Paul is an outgoing person who loves being around people; thus:
He's found a "home" in the Real Estate business. This allows him to use all of his talents from research and writing contracts to meeting people at open houses. In fact, Paul teaches "open house" classes to other Realtors.
